ABSTRACT: The purpose of the study by Dr. Chalutz Ben-Gal et al. was to propose an employee recruitment decision support model for companies hiring workers in hybrid of flexible work plans. The model affects two levels: the first level reflects the company’s goal of maximizing profitability by offering competitive salaries to candidates. The second level reflects the candidate’s goal of minimizing the gap between their desired salary and the perceived benefits of a preferred flexible plan.
The study results show that the model provides an exact solution, and indicates how to implement the parameters within the company’s decision policy. The model solution was demonstrated using real-world data from a company recruiting software engineers. The study results are encouraging, and indicate that implementing the model within a flexible hybrid employment plan produces an improvement of up to 59% in company profitability. The study contributes significantly to improving human resource management in general, and to optimizing employee recruitment and compensation processes in hybrid work settings in particular.
